Our weekly programs operate out of our Lake Illawarra HQ and our Shoalhaven House.
These programs look to build commitment through weekly schedules to work on skills, socialise and create healthier routines.

MONDAY MEAL PREP – ILLAWARRA
Our Monday meal prep focuses on clients building their independent cooking skills in the kitchen. Each week clients decide on a meal they all want to make to prepare some meals for the coming week. Making small changes to our meals to make them healthier is one of our main focuses. As meal prep is conducted after our walk and gym on a Monday we aim to keep meals high in protein with carbs and fats and incorporate learning about the different types of macro nutrients our bodies need to recover from gym sessions.
10.00 – 11.15am Walk & drive to gym
11.15 – 12pm Gym & drive back to HQ
12.30 – 2.30pm Meal Prep & Lunch

TUESDAY MENS GROUP – ILLAWARRA
Our mens group runs every week out of our Lake Illawarra HQ. Each weeks activities change with various sporting activities.
Tuesday between 9.30am- 2pm
- Physical & Social health
- Social engagement with young Male adults
- Forming friendships
WEDNESDAY GIRLS GROUP – ILLAWARRA
Our girls group runs every week out of our Lake Illawarra HQ. Each weeks activities change with what the girls and organisers have planned but some of our usual plans include. A walk and Coffee, gym at CFM, craft, picnic, cooking in the kitchen, planning of social events out together and just enjoying each others company. Female staff are roster on for these groups.
Every Wednesday, 10:00am – 2:00 pm
- Social Engagement with young adult women
- Physical, Social and Mental Health
- Forming relationships
- Covering topics specifically related to women
THURSDAY GROUP GYM – ILLAWARRA
Our Group training takes place everyday Monday to Friday above our HQ at Coastal Fitness Movement in Kiama Downs. Our sessions always incorporate a walk before the gym to loosen the legs, have a coffee, a chat and get warmed up for the gym. We have 6 qualified trainers that work with us at Movement Five to facilitate the session, all other workers that are on help throughout the sessions.
Our Group training fosters a sense of camaraderie, allowing participants to connect with peers who share similar experiences and challenges. The structure of these group sessions work on physical and strength goals as well as refines communication skills and encourages teamwork. Participants learn to set and achieve goals, build strong foundations and learn the benefits that physical health can have on all other factors of our overall health. Transport can be provided for clients if needed.
10:30am – Pickups/drop offs to HQ
10:45 – 11:30am – walk, chat and coffee
11:30am – 12:30pm – Gym session

Shoalhaven Adults Weekly Programs

Our Social Fridays provide our Adults with a weekly group to go on outings across the Illawarra, engage with services within the community and build rapport with other clients. Each month we program out our Friday activities and upload them to our app. We try to give clients as much input into activities or events happening around the area they want to engage with. Some examples of outings include trying different gyms within the area, trying new cafes, bushwalking, sightseeing, indoor rock climbing and going to events that are on.
Every Friday, 10:00am – 2:00pm
