Rostering & Staffing Officer

Full-time 

$45-$53 per hour 

We are seeking a passionate and organised administrative professional to join our team as the Rostering and Staffing Officer. This role provides hands on support across workforce rostering, staffing coordination, leave management, and client support scheduling. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, particularly in managing short-notice changes and reallocating shifts to ensure continuity of supports are upheld and our commitment to delivering reliable, high quality services to our clients.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain a broad understanding of all client supports delivered by Movement Five, along with associated staffing arrangements, to ensure workers are appropriately matched to each support. Sound knowledge of the NDIS, combined with experience using rostering and internal management systems is essential. This role suits a confident decision maker who can work independently, lead and instruct staff when required, and make decisions aligned with organisational policies, best practice, and compliance obligations which is why prior experience in a similar role is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running and changes to staffing and supports
  • Point of contact for staff for reorganisation of cancelled shifts
  • Assign online learning platform courses
  • Answering client requests to changes in supports
  • Responding to staff who are unfit for work
  • Managing full timer employees rostering hours and leave calendars
  • Work closely with directors and coordinators to ensure all clients rosters are up to date and scheduled
  • Have broad knowledge of the clientele and their rostering schedule and staff matching
  • Assisting in Full-timers pay runs

Qualification

Relevant Degree or qualifications in the field including but not limited to

  • Disability Field Degree or Qualification
  • Human Resources Degree or Qualification
  • Business Management Certificate or Degree
  • First Aid/ CPR
  • NDIS worker screening check

Skills

  • Experience in the disability, NDIS field and working with the SCHADS award
  • Ability to problem solve and reorganise
  • Administrative skills to ensure smooth process from laptop to field operations and software like Xero, CareMaster & online training platforms
  • Award and HR knowledge – Overtime, TOIL, SCHADS award entitlements
